By Staff reports Clara May Gasaway, 89, Carthage, passed away June 17, 2012 in Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, after a short illness. She was born in Boggy Depot, Joplin, Mo., on Sept. 11, 1922, to the late Frank and Martha Brock Winters.
