Blunt to Discuss Issues on Upcoming Edition of Newsmakers

JOPLIN, MO.

Missouri Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt will be the special guest on an upcoming edition of the public affairs program Newsmakers.

Congressman Blunt and program host, Judy Stiles, will discuss a number of issues facing Congress as it heads back to work.  They include concerns he has heard from constituents about energy prices and the prescription drug plan. 

He also will talk about his role in House leadership, and interest to continue as House Majority Leader.  Blunt also discusses other topics such as lobbyist concerns in Washington, the war in Iraq, terrorism threats, pension reforms, and controlling spending.

KGCS-TV, the television station at Missouri Southern State University, airs on Joplin/Webb City cable channel 7 and UHF channel 57.  The station is a service of the Communication and Foreign Languages Department at MSSU.
