JOPLIN (SNS) - The Missouri Southern State University Institute of International Studies and the Missouri Southern Film Society will present the film Vagabond (1985) at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5 in Cornell Auditorium in Plaster Hall (formerly Matthews Hall).
The film is free and open to the public.
Vagabond (Sans toit ni loi) is an unforgettable portrait of the death and life of a young woman who has become a vagrant and beggar in the rural French countryside. The film was directed by Agnes Varda.
Throughout the fall semester films from France will be featured in coordination with The France Semester at Missouri Southern State University.
All films will be shown on DVD in their original versions with English subtitles. Program notes are distributed to promote greater perception.
