Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Tuesday Evening Through Early Wednesday Morning

March 4, 2003

Freezing rain and sleet will develop across central Missouri and far southeast Kansas by late this evening and continue overnight. Light ice accumulations less than one quarter inch will be likely. Ice will initially accumulate on elevated objects such as trees and power lines, as well as bridges and overpasses. Road conditions will be slower to deteriorate due to relatively warm ground temperatures, but slick spots will develop late tonight and early Wednesday morning as temperatures fall into the lower 20s. A Winter Weather Advisory is issued when a combination of winter weather conditions such as freezing rain and sleet is expected. While the weather will be significant, severe winter weather is not anticipated.
