Winter Weather Advisory Remains in Effect Through Thursday Afternoon
February 27, 2003
A band of moderate, to occasionally heavy snow stretched from near Conway, to Grovespring, through Mountain Grove and Willow Springs. The heaviest snowfall in this band may produce snow rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, as it tracks to the northeast.
By 930 AM, this band of snow will affect areas along a line from Fort Leonard Wood, to Licking, to Eminence. Please be aware of the low visibilities with near white out conditions as the heaviest snow bands move through.
The accumulating snowfall has ended in southeast Kansas, and parts of southwest Missouri, however occasional flurries or freezing drizzle are possible into the early afternoon hours.
Roads, bridges and overpasses in the advisory area will become slick and hazardous. Accumulation of snow or ice on roadways, bridges and overpasses will make travel treacherous. Exercise caution if travel is necessary.
