Winter Weather Advisory has been Issued for Late Wednesday Night And Thursday

February 26, 2003

Snow will develop tonight and continue into the day on Thursday. Snow may fall rather heavily at times, occasionally reducing visibilities to one half mile or less. In addition, portions of far southern Missouri may see some sleet mixed in at times tonight. By the time the snow ends Thursday afternoon, widespread accumulations of 2 to 5 inches can be expected, with the lightest amounts likely near the Arkansas state line. Roads, bridges and overpasses in the advisory area will become slick and hazardous. Accumulations of snow on roadways, bridges and overpasses will make travel treacherous. Unnecessary travel should be postponed and caution exercised if travel is necessary. Stay tuned to NOAA weather radio, commercial media outlets or your cable television provider for the latest information concerning this latest winter storm.
