Significant Snow Accumulations Across the Ozarks Region Today

A strong storm system will move east from the S. Plains today. Abundant Pacific & Gulf moisture will continue streaming into the area. The first wave of snow had shifted to south central and SE Missouri at mid morning while another area of was expanding across SW Missouri & SE Kansas. Snow accumulations through mid morning have ranged from 1 to 2 inches across much of S. Missouri & SE Kansas. Heavier totals around 3 inches were reported across south central Missouri SE of a Branson to Eminence line. Total accumulations by this evening will range from 2 to 4 inches north of Interstate 44 with 3 to 5 inches expected across far Southern Missouri. Locally higher amounts will be possible over South Central Missouri. This winter storm will also affect the surrounding region including Northern Arkansas & N. Oklahoma.
