FEATURES/ACTIVITIES:
Adding a touch of Missouri's natives to your backyard to attract songbirds, butterflies and other wanted wildlife is a growing trend in residential landscaping. These same plants that grace our woodlands, prairies and glades can enhance your home landscape with their beauty and their benefits to wildlife. Once established, these plants typically require little or no watering, fertilization or disease control. We will discuss plant selection and requirements, benefits of planting natives and basic designs you can easily initiate on your property. Due to the high demand, two separate classes are being offered April 16th and April 18th. These programs are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register please contact the Missouri Dept of Conservation Joplin Office @ (417) 629-3423.
